Frequently Asked Questions
What Happens During the Consultation?
During the consultation, we will meet with you in person at the project site. We’ll discuss your vision, assess the area, and offer professional recommendations. Afterward, you will receive a detailed quote. Once approved, we’ll go over the next steps to get your project started.
What Should I do Before the Installation?
Mow your lawn at least 2 days before the scheduled installation.
Mark and move any irrigation lines if noted.
Clean up all pet waste from the yard (our crew will be working at ground level).
Remove any pavers or existing edging, unless we’ve specifically instructed otherwise.
What can I Expect on Installation Day?
We’ll begin by prepping the area – this includes sod cutting, leveling the ground, and creating clean bed edges. We’ll mix the concrete on-site in small batches. Please expect some engine noise throughout the day. The curb is laid from an extruding machine, colored, stamped to the client’s specifications. Control joints are cut every 2-3’ to minimize and reduce cracking. The job is usually completed the same day unless otherwise specified. The curb is sealed with several light coats of an acrylic cure and seal.
How do I Maintain my New Concrete Curbing?
The good thing about the concrete curbing is the maintenance is extremely low! We always recommend another coat of sealer 6 months after installation (solvent base concrete sealer can be purchased at most big box stores). After that, your curbing should be set for several years with minimal upkeep.
